Dr. Christopher Sakowski is a board-eligible orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery. He has specialized training in the most advanced and up-to-date techniques, including total ankle replacement, foot and ankle arthroscopy, minimally invasive bunion correction, as well as the new Cartiva procedure for arthritis of the big toe. He also specializes in the treatment of sports-related injuries, trauma, and advanced hindfoot reconstruction of the foot and ankle.

Dr. Sakowski was born and raised in Arlington, TX. After graduating from Cistercian Preparatory School he went on to receive a B.S. in Neurobiology from the University of Texas at Austin. He then obtained his medical degree at UTMB in Galveston, where he graduated magna cum laude. During medical school he performed research at NASA’s Johnson Space Center, focusing on biologic changes that occur to astronauts during spaceflight. Subsequently Dr. Sakowski left his home state to complete residency training at the University of Southern California/Los Angeles County Hospital, one of the busiest level I trauma centers in the country. He then moved across country again to complete his fellowship at the prestigious Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore.

Dr. Sakowski now lives back home in Dallas with his wife Amelia and their dog Moose. They couldn’t be happier to be back home, and are looking forward to starting a family of their own. In his free time, Dr. Sakowski enjoys cooking, traveling, golfing, watching his nieces play soccer, and playing video games.
